A Harare male missing his Mercedes Benz motor vehicle to a vehicle thief after he had parked it at a sports activities club in the town.
Police have given that arrested Takudzwa Nenzou (31) in connection with the situation.
Nenzou allegedly stole the motor vehicle at Aged Hararians Athletics Club at all over 10 pm.
Comply with-ups were being manufactured and he was arrested soon after parking the car or truck at his property in Mabelreign.
Nationwide law enforcement spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
“The ZRP confirms the arrest of Takudzwa Nenzou aged 31 in connection with a scenario of theft involving a Mercedes Benz automobile registration quantity AEQ 7545 which transpired at Aged Hararians Sports activities Club on September 10, 2022 at about 2200 hrs.
“Police recovered the stolen car at the suspect’s dwelling in Mabelreign, Harare,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the law enforcement is investigating a theft circumstance in which a Bulawayo businessman (34) was attacked by a few robbers at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Robert Mugabe Street on September 9, 2022 at all over 11.50 pm.
The robbers pounced on the complainant, who had parked his car outside his residence. They flashed him in the eyes with a torch when threatening to assault him with an unknown object before thieving US$13 000 and two Samsung cellphones.
