NBA Hall of Famer and Miami Heat co-founder Billy Cunningham, a long-time resident of Jupiter, will be the guest speaker at The Sports Club of The Palm Beaches luncheon on Monday at 11 a.m.

Tickets for the event at the Palm Beach Kennel Club can be purchased online at pbkennelclub.com or at the door. Tickets are $20 and include a lunch buffet and soda/tea. A cash bar will be available.

Cunningham, an All-American at the University of North Carolina, spent 11 years with the Philadelphia 76ers and Carolina Cougars, winning a championship as both a player and a coach in the NBA. An eight-time NBA All-Star, he was part of the original team that was awarded the expansion Heat in the mid-1980s. He recently was named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
