LeBron James is an NBA champion, a billionaire, a movie star, and a mogul. He could do anything he wants with his time and energy and no one would blame him for stepping away from the limelight during the offseason to recharge after a miserable Los Angeles Lakers season.
Naturally, he’s going to do a podcast instead.
At least, that’s what King James implied over the weekend with a tweet.
Jumping on someone podcast soon. Maybe my own 🤔

As for what this podcast is, who else will be on it, and what network it will be part of, that all remains to be seen. But we can all certainly agree that the world needs more podcasts from rich dudes, and so it shall be done.
Plenty of James’s peers are currently broadcasting and he’s probably seeing how successful they’ve been. Given his stature and the gravitational pull that comes with his name, he certainly sees the potential available for a show in which he shares his thoughts on topics such as politics, Donald Trump, and Taco Tuesday.
Whether this ends up being a worthwhile listen or just another vanity podcast remains to be seen, but the sports world certainly had some interesting reactions to the news that LeBron wants to be the next Marc Maron.
