Trouve Motor’s 200 kmph electric sports motorcycle teased
IIT-Delhi incubated EV startup Trouve Motor has teased its first electric sports bike that is claimed to be capable of speeds of up to 200 km/h. It also boasts a 0-100 km/h sprint time of three seconds. It will be launched in the second half of 2022 and bookings will be open around the same time.
It will draw power from an electric powertrain that uses a liquid-cooled AC induction motor that puts out 40 kW of power. Braking will be covered by Brembo equipment with a dual-channel ABS. The bike will be sprung upon adjustable suspension. Trouve claims that the bike will boast a host of patented technologies.
The startup has stated that the bike will get an LED advanced infotainment display, a 360-degree camera, a TFT touch instrument console with connected tech, real-time vehicle diagnostics, GPS navigation, among others.
Trouve states that its electric bike will be the ‘safest two-wheeler’ once it launches. Besides the upcoming sports bike, the startup plans to launch a series of EVs that would include a classic, cafe racer, streetfighter, enduro and a scrambler.
Furthermore, Trouve Motor states that the bike will be the first blockchain integrated EV company with its metaverse ecosystem and a unique reading system for users.
The bikes are being designed and developed at Trouve’s R&D centre at IIT Delhi and its facility at Bengaluru. Trouve Motor joined FasterCapital’s Raise Capital program to raise about USD 3 million for its seed funding round.
